2025 — PRESENT / BUILDING ON THAT FOUNDATION

Following my banking career, I completed my Southampton MBA and developed my international consulting and practical AI work. My career focus is credit underwriting, sanction governance and portfolio management.

02 / CREDIT PERSPECTIVE

Understand the business.
Assess the credit.

“Understand the borrower. Challenge the assumptions. Make the credit rationale clear.”

My work with hundreds of small and medium-sized businesses has shaped how I assess business models, financing needs and repayment capacity. Understanding the borrower’s commercial reality helps me challenge assumptions and identify the risks behind a lending proposal.

At State Bank of India, I worked across SME, retail and agricultural lending. My responsibilities connected appraisal and sanction governance with documentation, disbursement, portfolio monitoring and stressed-account resolution. I bring that experience to the full life of a credit exposure.

A Master of Science trained me to question evidence. An MBA at the University of Southampton broadened my perspective on international banking and business strategy. My team’s consulting work for a Dubai-based medical-tourism firm extended that commercial understanding to client acquisition, retention and franchise-based entry into new markets.

I am focused on opportunities in credit underwriting, sanction governance and portfolio management. Alongside that career focus, I develop practical tools such as UnderwriteAI to explore clearer credit preparation, visible calculations and accountable human review.

THE BUSINESS QUESTION

What makes the business work?

Purpose & readiness

Start with the customer, product, margins and cash cycle. Establish what the capital will fund, whether debt is the right instrument and what evidence is missing.

Business-model assessment · borrower conversations · financial information readiness

An illustration of my approach. Every transaction remains subject to the lender’s policy, evidence and approval authority.

WHAT I BRING TO A CREDIT TEAM

Clear analysis.
Disciplined judgment.

Commercial understanding becomes useful when it supports an explicit credit view, appropriate conditions and dependable follow-through.

A

Underwriting & appraisal

Connect the business model, financial statements, working-capital cycle and repayment capacity. Challenge assumptions, identify downside risks and explain the basis for a credit recommendation.

B

Sanction governance

Bring structure to credit memoranda, policy exceptions and approval conditions. Work within delegated authority and keep the decision rationale and escalation requirements clear.

C

Portfolio & post-sanction controls

Connect documentation and disbursement controls with monitoring, early warning, renewal and stressed-account resolution. Improve case tracking and management information for the team.

03 / CREDIT EXPERIENCE APPLIED TO AI

Better preparation.
Visible reasoning.

UnderwriteAI shows how I translate credit process knowledge into requirements for evidence, calculations and review. It is my principal credit-related product project.

Pilot launch

Founder · product design · AI workflows

From a property enquiry to a better-prepared viewing.

AI-assisted property enquiries, buyer qualification and viewing coordination for brokerages.

How the pilot works

An AI buyer-conversation and viewing workflow for property brokerages. It connects portal and WhatsApp enquiries with sourced property information, buyer qualification, viewing coordination and a consultant handoff.

  • Answers grounded in property facts. A Property Passport connects listing information and supporting documents, with sources and missing facts made visible.
  • A clear next step for the buyer. Capture needs, coordinate available viewing slots and pass the conversation to a consultant.
  • A connected brokerage workflow. Keep enquiry, qualification and booking events organised for the team and its CRM.

A founder-managed pilot launch. Channel activation, client-specific setup and integrations are validated before use; no conversion uplift is claimed.

05 / INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL PERSPECTIVE

A closer view of
business growth.

I helped shape a growth strategy for a boutique medical-tourism firm based in Dubai and seeking to enter new markets.

As part of my Southampton MBA consulting team, I worked on a connected approach to client acquisition, retention and market expansion. We revisited how the firm attracts and retains clients, assessed opportunities in new markets and developed recommendations for expansion through a franchise model.

Client acquisition

Revisit how the firm reaches prospective clients and turns interest into a clear path to engagement.

Client retention

Review the patient journey, follow-up and ongoing engagement to strengthen client relationships.

Market expansion

Assess entry into new markets and a franchise model that could support scalable growth.

RELEVANCE TO CREDIT

Understanding how a firm acquires clients, retains revenue and enters new markets sharpens the questions I bring to a borrower’s growth plan and financing needs.

HOW I WORK

Evidence before confidence.
Clarity before approval.

Understand & challenge

Establish the financing purpose and the borrower’s operating context. Test assumptions, consider downside scenarios and distinguish a missing input from an assessed risk.

Communicate the credit view

Make the recommendation, conditions and exceptions understandable. Engage constructively with business teams, reviewers and decision-makers while keeping responsibilities clear.

Follow through

Carry the credit rationale into documentation, disbursement and monitoring. Use better information and practical tools to make review and escalation more dependable.
