A clearer path
through the credit process.
A focused credit-process diagnostic for small lending teams: examine how a file moves, where ownership becomes unclear and how review and post-sanction records are maintained.
Available for discussion · scope agreed before engagementWHO IT IS FOR
Small lending teams.
Credit leaders, loan-processing teams and owner-led lending businesses seeking an independent view of their internal credit workflow.
THE PROBLEM
Files lose momentum.
Unclear handoffs, scattered status information and incomplete records can make review and follow-up harder. The diagnostic would establish whether those issues exist in your process and where to focus.
WHAT I WOULD EXAMINE
Movement and controls.
- File receipt, completeness checks and ownership at each stage.
- Appraisal, review, escalation and approval handoffs.
- Sanction conditions, documentation and disbursement readiness.
- Monitoring, exceptions and management information.
WHAT YOU WOULD RECEIVE
A practical improvement brief.
- A map of the current process and its review points.
- An evidence-based list of gaps and priorities.
- A proposed tracking dashboard and ownership checklist.
- A discussion of implementation steps and measures to track.
HOW AN ENGAGEMENT WOULD WORK
Agree scope.
Inspect the process.
- Discuss your team, the question to resolve and the available process evidence.
- Agree scope, deliverables, fee and timing in days, together with confidentiality and data-handling arrangements.
- Review process descriptions, sample templates and anonymised or synthetic examples.
- Discuss the findings, proposed controls and an implementation plan with the responsible team.
BOUNDARIES
Clear responsibility.
This proposed service draws on my banking and process experience. It is not presented as an established consulting service with measured client outcomes.
- The engagement does not provide a lending decision, credit approval, regulated advice, a statutory audit or legal certification.
- The lender retains policy ownership, approval authority, regulatory responsibility and decisions about implementation.
- Systems integration, production AI deployment, legal review and ongoing monitoring are outside the initial diagnostic unless separately agreed.
- Please send a process summary for the first discussion. Do not email borrower files, account details or identity documents.
